Project mission

SMARTWATER project aims to introducing advanced water reuse technologies in the textile sector, improving sustainability and reducing environmental impact. Located on a region known for its textile industry, the R&D activities focus on less impactful membrane technologies based on nanofiltration, technologies for removing emerging pollutants, biologically based treatments with reduced sludge production and the use of innovative digital sensors and integration of IoT for real-time monitoring.
