Project mission
The Green Fashion project aims at developing a third generation biorefinery based on the use of food waste produced in the Lombardy Region as industrial resources for cosmetic formulation intended to be sold in the beauty market. In particular, the raw materials used in the recycling process consist in tomatoes peel and red corn by-products which are agricultural scraps that, thanks to an environmentally sustainable productive system, are converted in biological fashion products. The project foresees the formulation of 2-3 innovative ingredients in pilot scale, followed by a demonstration of economic feasibility for the further industrial development of a business line of green cosmetics.
