Project mission
The project’s aim consists in the development of an innovative platform that enable a prompt and accurate analysis of kidney function in order to ensure a real time monitoring of the patient’s conditions. Thanks to the integration of this system in ordinary medical routine, a continuous check of different health indicators will be performed, such as the voided volume per micturition, the urinary pH and the presence of specific substances (i.e. potassium, ammonium, chlorine, etc.). Moreover, King is also designed to monitor the kidneys’ response to different stress conditions that entail potentially dangerous imbalances in the patient’s organism. This feature allows a deeper understanding of clinical impairment that can lead to a reactive diagnosis and early treatment of urinary diseases.
