Project mission
Within the European LIFE framework, the project’s goal is to achieve the promotion of an efficient bioremediation method intended to restore polluted soil by different sources such as dangerous hydrocarbons, volatile organic compounds and alkanes. In order to achieve this goal, the project fosters an international partnership involving three European University and environmental Agency based in Italy, France and Spain. The joint effort is dedicated to developing an optimized procedure for the revegetation of contaminated land using autochthonous and adapted bacteria and fungi, in addition to local food waste, in the light of a scale up process at industrial level.
