Project mission

The project aims to implement the variable rate technology in the context of vineyard field in order to enhance the fertilization distribution method by favouring the spread of organic farming. This goal is achieved thanks to the implementation of five prototype machines that adapt to specific viticultural needs thanks to the upgrading of fertilization systems that promote the use of economically and environmentally sustainable technologies instead of chemical products. This also leads to the prevention of soil pollution and erosion while improving wine quality and production with the aim at lowering toxic emissions and carbon sequestration, in addition to disseminate best practices in vineyard sector and a more cost-effective solution.
